History

Over 170 years of company history

A story begins

1853

Aumühl Gosheim: This is where it all began with the Peter family from Wellendingen. Anton Peter, head of the Peter family, starts with the artisanal production of Peter noodles.

1905

With the move to Spaichingen, Anton Peter lays the foundation for today's home of the pasta makers.

1937

The next generation takes over: Peter's nephew Max Seeburger and businessman Eugen Schwärzer. They take turns doing military service to keep the company going.

1962

The production area is expanded and the first fully automated production plant is put into operation.

1973

A few years later, a production plant for spaghetti followed - a real rarity.

1977

It is one of the first pasta manufacturers to supply not only consumer markets but also industrial customers directly with dry pasta products.

1978

Generation change: Franz-Anton Seeburger takes over the company from his father.

1975

The brand range continues to grow and includes Peter fresh pasta, Klostergold and Pietro: the ready-made spaghetti dish.

1981

Peter Nudeln brings his gourmet noodles to the surrounding areas in his distinctive yellow trucks.

1989 – World Record Attempt

Still remembered today: the record attempt to create the longest hand-rolled pasta in the world.

Unfortunately, in the end it was not quite enough for a new world record, but it remains a highlight in the company history of the Spaichingen pasta makers

The company grows

The merger with the Rolf Diez company was followed by the construction of a new building and the relocation of the company to its current headquarters in Eschenwasen.

From the mid-1990s until the 2010s, the company underwent increasing change through modernization and expansion of the production, storage and packaging areas and became one of the most modern pasta factories in Europe.

With the takeover of Seitz Gewürzhandel and the company Hermann from Kirchheim-Teck, the companies are merged to form Seitz GmbH.

2012

Seitz GmbH is taken over by the ALB-GOLD Group. A short time later, the company regains its expressive and still well-known name “Spaichinger Nudelmacher”.

2015

Ground-breaking ceremony for the new warehouse and logistics center with 4000 pallet spaces.

2022/23

Construction and commissioning of the fully automated high-bay warehouse.
